To use any of the songs you find through HymnBook, your church is still required to have the appropriate licence(s) from Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI). If you are unsure about which licence is right for your church context, please get in touch with them directly. Depending on your situation you may require a CCLI Copyright Licence (for the reproduction of words, printed or projected), a CCLI Music Reproduction Licence (for making copies of sheet music) or a CCLI Streaming Licence (if you intend to broadcast or live stream commercial recordings or multi-tracks, such as those obtained through HymnBook.app).

Sorry, no. Once your subscription ends, you must delete all copies of the files you have downloaded from HymnBook. Please see the Terms of Service for full licensing information.

We don’t offer a free trial, however, you can access all premium features (including multitrack player, sheet music and lyric videos) with a basic account for free on a limited number of songs, so you can still try every feature before deciding if you’d like to purchase full access.

Of course you can! Many churches use HymnBook in conjunction with a range of other resources. Our chord charts and sheet music are written to match exactly the structure and the arrangement of our multitrack recordings, so you might find you want to make the switch!

You can update your subscription at any time. In Account select Subscriptions, Change Plan. If you are upgrading your subscription, you can pay the difference for the remainder of your billing period, then you will be charged according to the new pricing at the next billing cycle.
