This next song is a meditation on the cross of Christ. The words help us to see the cross as God’s ultimate expression of his deep love for us, so much that he turns his face away from his only Son, that we might be made his treasure. We have nothing more that we can boast in, but that Jesus’ death has paid our greatest debt and brought us life everlasting.
