Eternal Life, Glorification, Praise, Salvation, Saviour, The Creation, The Cross of Christ, The Lordship of Christ, The Son

Verse 1
For the beauty of the earth
For the glory of the skies
For the love which from our birth
Over and around us lies

Verse 2
For the beauty of the Son
Full of grace and truth divine
Born of man and child of God
Come to earth for humankind

Lord of all, to thee we raise
This our hymn of grateful praise

Verse 3
For the beauty of the cross
Tender love and mercy shown
For the Son who paid the cost
Bearing sin to save his own

Verse 4
For the beauty of new life
With our saviour, glorified
For the joy of knowing Christ
Life eternal by his side

  Sample Introduction

Inspired by the peaceful beauty surrounding him, the hymn writer penned this thanksgiving hymn to reflect on God’s gifts to his people in creation and in the church. Above all he thought of the sacrifice of Christ, the greatest of sacrifices – that of his life in return for ours.
