Our Mission
The internet has millions of congregational songs! It can feel overwhelming piecing together a songbook for your church, let alone a set list every Sunday. We created HymnBook to help with that!
We have selected roughly 100 songs and hymns to cover a breadth of biblical themes and passages, liturgical categories, and musical styles. Above all, we have included songs that are biblically faithful and heart-engaging, and which point us to Christ as we are reminded of his glorious gospel. These songs have been compiled into a searchable database with helpful resources like scripture references, biblical and liturgical themes, sample introductions, and rehearsal tools like our Multiplayer and lead sheets.
Unlike traditional hymnbooks, ours is a dynamic collection, expanding as we discover new songs and fresh expressions of great hymns.
Meet the creators
Emu Music exists to encourage and equip the church in biblical, beautiful and transformative singing. We do this by writing new congregational songs which are biblically rich, theologically true, aesthetically beautiful. We also work to train church leaders, musicians and congregations in how to establish and maintain a biblical music ministry, encouraging churches to grow a servant-hearted culture of musical excellence and creating and publishing resources that support these aims. We recognise that organising music can be a challenge for pastors and worship leaders – particularly when there are insufficient musicians or people to coordinate in the church. We commissioned Emu Music to develop Hymnbook to help with this task. We hope that it supports your ministry.
